The Written Examination includes six different versions, designated as Level 1 through Level 6.  Each successive level contains more difficult questions, based on the levels defined by the Job Analysis.  Topics for the six levels are shown below:

Exams Level 1-5 each include 100 multiple choice questions.  Three hours is allowed for each of the examinations.  The Level 6 examination includes 200 multiple choice questions, and four hours is allowed for the examination.

Contact your Local JATC to determine if they are offering the Written Craft Certification Examinations.  Individuals in the IBEW/NECA Construction Wireman / Construction Electrician (CW/CE) Program will be contacted by your JATC when you are required to take one of the examinations.
